From 6:45PM onwards this new year’s eve, Kite Beach in Dubai was packed full of locals and tourists alike all ready to watch the city’s sky scrapers dazzle a little more than usual with the help of this world-renowned light show.
We were on our way to ride camels on the desert as I pulled my friend to take my hand so I can lead the way. This picture is a collection of my minimalist travels around the world and it is meant to inspire more female travelers to go solo and enjoy the new people and adventures you meet along the journey.

I was walking down the road. When I noticed how fast the cars were running and the Ferris wheel rotating. Thought it was perfect for a long exposure. This is one of my first few long exposures.
This was one of the photos taken by me where I was experimenting with the different potentials of shutter speed. It was one of the first long exposures I have taken and It has also been made quite a ‘popular’ wallpaper for Android and iOS devices. It was taken when I was just taking a stroll with my friend at night, In Al Qasba, Sharjah and I spotted this wheel and so I took my tripod out, took an 8 second exposure and this was the result :P
This photo was taken in Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, one of the most beautiful mosques i have ever been to. a must visit. The amount of Architecture and handcraft is astonishing. highly recommended.
We were in Abu Dhabi for just one day and it was definitely worth passing through here - one of the most incredible structures I've ever set foot in. Doesn't have the ancient history of many churches, mosques, and cathedrals, but truly awe-inspiring.
Two of the four minarets of the Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi. Most of the outer court is made from marble imported from Italy and is inlaid with flowers.
I stayed at the 5-star Address, Dubai Marina, Dubai and this was the view from the hotel bedroom. What a view. The hotel was absolutely fantastic, great staff, customer service, food, pool and the whole hotel smelled like a spa. Awesome.
This picture was taken in Liwa, Abu Dhabi, UAE, Nov. 2013. Liwa is part of the “Rub al Khali” or Empty Quarter, encompassing the southern third of the Arabian peninsula. It is a magical place of huge tangerine and cinnamon-colored dunes that stretch beyond the horizon in every direction. Liwa is one of the few deserts in the world where the sands “sing” when disturbed by the wind.

The Sheikh Zayed Mosque, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Such an amazing religious site. The 3rd largest mosque in the world, allowing up to 41,000 people to pray.
With a 12-hour layover in Dubai, even on very little rest, you’re called out to explore the futuristic city that rises out of the sand seemingly in the middle of the desert.
On a hot day in the desert every little shadow is welcome to hide a bit from the sun. Took this photo on a desert safari in the backlands of Dubai, UAE.
Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque is a special place for me because it is, undoubtfully, the most beautiful majestic building I have seen. It is special for me because it’s one of the places where I was able to practice photography as I was just starting out with it. And what an incredible place to photograph. This picture was taken towards the end of my trip that day and I did not expect this result. It’s still my favorite picture of the place.

Absolutely beautiful. Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi UAE. The white marble gleaming. One of the most beautiful places to visit. You can see a man bending down in the distance which show the size and scale of this magnificent building.

Spending the day in the Desert with friends is always a nice thing, however sand + expensive camera gear isn’t always the best combination.... definitely worth it though!
